On A Roll Sandwich Company are recruiting a full time Experienced Admin Assistant.  This is a permanent position.

We are looking for someone who has experience of dealing with customers on the phone, as well as being able to report, and include data input into various Excel spreadsheets.

The key responsibilities would include-

  • Ability to plan and prioritise work to meet strict deadlines.

  • Proofread product orders

  • Competent use of Microsoft Office products.

  • Coordinating and working with companies as well as across in-house business teams when required.

  • Ability to work on an individual basis and within a team.

  • Coordinating with team members to ensure integration, consistency and quality of product information.

  • Excellent use of ICT hardware and software

  • Ability to report activity in clear, concise terms.

Monday – Friday 40 hours

Working on an on-call basis 1 weekend out of 3 moving to 1 in 4 as the business grows

Dispatch Manager

We are currently looking to recruit a Dispatch Manager to join our team. As Despatch Manager your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Correct packing of all customer orders, efficient use of resources within the picking area.

  • Complete final quality checks.

  • Maintaining and controlling the optimum number of staff required to ensure a profitable and efficient picking area.

  • Ensure the products are picked to exact customer requirements – undamaged, hygienically and without waste of manpower or time.

  • Ensure that job training is carried out and recorded, so that all staff are interchangeable and quality procedure is adhered to.

  • Build a team and maintain discipline during working times.

  • Briefing and constantly communicating the company requirements and team performances to staff.

  • Ensure the High Care Supervisor and/or senior managers are aware of problem areas in picking and staffing before they become critical to the job.

  • Keep accurate and legible paperwork.

  • Responsible for packing a designated section each day, and covering for absence and holidays.

  • Prior to finishing each day, all checks must be carried out to ensure there are no products remaining, and spot checks carried out on customer orders to ensure correct.

  • Setting a good example to staff in both manner and conduct.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as Health & Safety regulations

  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks that are required as part of the needs of the business

 

The successful candidate will also hold excellent organisational and communication skills and effectively prioritise the departments and their own workload, whilst motivating and leading an established team.

This is a fast-paced environment therefore, all applicants must be used to working in a timely and efficient manner, to ensure all company targets and deadlines are met.

The successful candidate will also be required to: -

  • Liaise and co-ordinate with Senior Management Team effectively.

  • Set and maintain KPIs.

  • Attend weekly / scheduled management meetings.

You must have the following experience or criteria

  • Practical working knowledge of a fast paced, mixed product, high volume manual environment.

  • Good all-round understanding of warehouse procedures.

  • Marshalls / RJL knowledge would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

Low Risk/ Goods In Manager

Job Description 

  • To implement manage and lead the packing, picking and despatch department to ensure that procedures are established and followed for the day to day management and control of the teams

  • Hours of work

  • The Low risk area functions over a 24/7 time period.

  • The Low risk shift manager would initially be expected to work over a 5 day period split across the 7 days to meet the needs of the business.

  • Peak days are Sunday to – Thursday

  • A 4 on / 4 off shift pattern could be introduced in the future.

On A Roll Sandwich Company are recruiting a High Care Production Supervisor.  This is a permanent position.

 

This job role includes: 

  • Effectively supervise the team to ensure the products are made to exact specification, within food safety procedures and without excessive waste of ingredients, manpower or time.

  • Ensuring line is running efficiently whilst monitoring quality control through coaching & working alongside line operatives.

  • Providing training, coaching and mentoring to all employees to ensure they are competent within their job.

  • Ensure at start of shift all pre-start checks re carried out and signed off.

  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is present and completed during production.

  • Accountable for weights, metal detection, product quality & waste.

  • Identifying and reporting any faults with machinery/equipment as soon as they become apparent.

  • Liaising with other departments in line with demands of production & minimise and disruption to production – communicating any issues.

Quality Assurance Technician

On A Roll Sandwich Company are recruiting a full time Quality Assurance Technician.  This is a permanent position.

What will you be doing? 

Ensuring overall quality standards are maintained for all products and the factory in general.

The key responsibilities would include-

  • To ensure the product quality standards are available on each line and that they are being followed correctly 

  • To ensure policies and procedures relating to quality, food safety and H&S are being adhered to

  • To support production in solving issues and making decisions on quality/Food safety (escalating to Quality Manager/ Technical Manager if necessary)

  • To conduct internal audits against the agreed schedule

  • To carry out all micro testing against the schedule and that retests on adverse results are sent away and the spreadsheet is completed correctly

  • To carry out internal checks/ calibrations of equipment inclusive of chemical dosing, temp probes and scales etc

  • Completion of all necessary paperwork within the QMS

  • Communicate with suppliers with regards to non-conformances.  Ensure that non-conformances are followed up, effective corrective actions are agreed and repeat issues are dealt with in conjunction with Quality Manager

  • Carry out new employee inductions, training as necessary

  • Attend morning production meetings and be prepared with previous day’s issues/corrective actions and upcoming information that needs to be shared

  • Set a good example to all other employees in both manner and conduct

  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks that are required as part of the needs of the business

  • To carry our daily GMP audits and raise Non-conformances as appropriate

  • To conduct taste panels and resolve corrective actions

 

Permanent Full Time Contract

Working 5 days a week over a 7 day week, including weekends. 

Shift pattern is 6am - 3pm or 10am - finish (approx 6pm)

Shifts may change depending on the needs of the business 

Salary is £21K - £23K, depending on experience
