Class 1 Driver

On a Roll Sandwich Company are recruiting a Class 1 Driver to work with us on a permanent contract.
The ideal candidate must hold a full class 1licence, an in-date CPC driver’s card and a Digi-card with a minimum of 2 years driving experience and have worked with a tail lift.
A UK Driving licence with a maximum of three penalty points is essential.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Loading and unloading of the vehicle as required (including delivering to unmanned depots) and collections from suppliers on return.
Some physical work is required.
Keep the vehicle to company standard and complete necessary delivery paperwork.
Use of a Digi-card and knowledge of tachograph/driver’s hour’s regulations.
Delivering excellent customer service.
Working 5-night shifts per week & weekends based on a 5-night working rota.
Location - Middlesbrough, and delivering Nationwide but emphasis on North Wales, Liverpool, Staffordshire and North Yorkshire.

Multi Drop Delivery Driver

On A Roll Sandwich Company is looking for an experienced Multi drop delivery driver
Middlesbrough – TS1 2RY
Permanent/full time immediate start required
Working hours are 3am – roughly 11am dependent upon traffic and production levels.
Working over a 7 day operation
The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the reasonable tasks which include the following:
To carry out the delivery of sandwiches, salads, snacks, etc. to customers.
Ensuring goods are delivered correctly whilst meeting the customer’s requirements and ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed.
Drivers are responsible for ensuring all food delivery and food safety documentation is completed correctly for each delivery to assist in audits
Drivers are also responsible for completing and maintain vehicle records on a daily basis and as required
Uniform will be issued to assist you in keeping a clean appearance
Drivers are to ensure their vehicles are kept clean and tidy inside and out at all times
Inform line manager/head office immediately of any problems with vehicles, issues relating to deliveries, and personal changes including any driving convictions, etc.
Successfully complete all training as required by the company, including food safety training
Complete driver training as necessary and where legislation dictates
Carry out any other reasonable tasks that are required as part of the needs of the business
Be polite and courteous to all customers; project the company ethos of quality and service
Successful candidate should possess the following:
Have had a full UK / EU / EEA driving licence for at least 24 months with no more than 6 penalty points
Are safe and courteous drivers
Enjoy helping others
Are personable with a good sense of humour and excellent communication skills
Are able to take the initiative and use common sense
Care about making a difference for customers and colleagues
Can stay calm under pressure

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Working in a food production environment, ensuring the preparation of the product is carried out effectively and efficiently, as directed. The nature of the work means that you will be working in a chilled, ambient or freezer environment. Work can be repetitive so candidates must be able to keep motivated throughout the whole shift.
The role involves all aspects of food production including;
Working on a production line
Handling raw materials
Cutting & Chopping
Machine Operating
Cleaning machinery
Packing finished products
Labelling
Picking orders
Record keeping.
Quality Checking
General house keeping
Work towards and achieving targets
Working in accordance with health & safety policies
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
Experience of working in a food environment is advantageous, however full training will be given.
Candidates must be flexible, hard-working and possess a positive attitude to work.
WHAT ARE THE WORKING HOURS?
Candidates must be flexible to work hours including 6am starts and weekends.
